A Game starts fresh: player count, names, and a brand-new word are set, and every player is shown their word (or their Undercover status).
A Round happens inside a game: players give one clue each in the suggested order, then vote — and exactly one player is eliminated per round. A game has many rounds.
Pick the total number of players, how many are Undercover, and how many are Decoys. Enter everyone's name — names are remembered for next time, but always editable. Then each player privately sees their word.
Each round, the app names who starts and randomly announces the format for that round:
Round 1 is always a Clue Word round. Charades, Rhyming, and Verb rounds can each only happen once per game after that — Clue Word has no limit and can come up again and again.
Based on the clues given by each player, everyone decides who they suspect is the Undercover. There is no discussion before voting — on a signal, everyone points at their suspect at the same time.
Whoever gets the most votes is voted out. Tap the voted-out player's name in the app to end the round.
A correct guess wins the game for the Undercover on the spot. A wrong guess keeps the word secret, and the game moves to the next round — unless that was the last Undercover, in which case the Civilians win right away.
Play continues until every Undercover has been found, or one of the end conditions below is met.
